All is well until they are captured by Mijishian pirates and taken to planet Mijishin, where the men are forced to partake in the Path of Shattered Glass and become military soldiers called illusionists. 

A war between planet Mijishin and planet Steelwick involuntarily coerces the illusionist soldiers to engage in battle. However, all Vengimi wants is to find his son.
