It's a new beginning for Patch and Nora, as they start their new life with one another. With all their troubles gone, they can finally be together, and settle. Or can they... Everything from their past is gone, there's nothing to worry about, until an old friend pays a visit. This "friends" visit doesn't last long, for she's not welcomed, but is no longer a threat, or so they think. Nora knows her love for Patch is eternal, something special and strong, but things start to change; slowly they drift apart, forgetting the little things, fighting over stupid stuff, and then they see no reason to continue on. With a child on the way, all this confusion, and second thoughts, Nora makes very haste decisions, that will cost her and those dearest to her heart greatly. Patch begins losing himself, to a point he no longer feels the same about Nora, and forgets who he really is. Not only does Nora have this new friend to deal with, but others she never thought she'd see, it shouldn't be possible.
"So are we ever going to trust each other?"
"Of course we will." He says while also leaning forward showcasing his smile and pearly whites.
"So confident Mr Reed."
"Of course Miss James. I've read enough books. Watched enough movies to know that the unexpected always becomes the inevitable. In this case myself and you." I lean back and take a swig of water then finally respond,
"We'll see if that's true or not."
April James had everything any woman could ever want in her life. She had her happily ever after. However, all it took was one ounce of greed to take everything away...

Until one day she stumbles across a drunk Alexander Reed. This man is undeniably attractive and also one of the worlds most famous and eligible billionaires. He's always been used to getting what he wants but he realises it's not an easy game with this woman. Alex goes against his own rules and want to pursue a friendship with April even if she resists.
