When fused together each device developed its own type of venom. When infected it lead to complete and total organ failure, hardening your insides, twisting your DNA until you're just like one of them. Julien Rose Baker was left for dead originally, broken down into nothing during a takeover but not enough to completely infected. She was nearly lifeless whenever a leader of a growing community found her. Fast forward through recovery and years of training and now she's probably the most ruthless second-in-command.
