[II AU; Humanized] By all records, twelve-and-a-half year old Suitcase Slams is a fairly average girl. She's just started seventh grade, she likes hanging out with her new best friend Balloon (even if her dad's boyfriend doesn't like him all that much), and she likes to go to the arcade to see Fan, a high schooler who's always been like a second older brother to her. But after sneaking out to the local park after dark one night to see Balloon, the two of them plus Fan witness something that leads them to discover that nothing in their hometown may not be what it seems. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. When he comes to Hyrule for Zelda's birthday celebration he finds hope that this cowboy, Link, will be the perfect canidate for Zelda's love. A lot of work needs to be done to rebuild Hyrule, and to convince others to help will take a lot of work from Link and Zelda. Having all his memories back, Link is plagued with thoughts and memories of the Champions, wishing he could go back in time and save them. He can't focus on the past too much though, because an incredible threat has woken up, and will certainly destroy Hyrule if nothing is done soon.
