y/n was born half muggle, (mom's a witch, dad's a muggle). she's never had a real relationship with her dad, as he left when she was just 2 years old after he found out her mom was a witch (y/n's mom always hid it from him since he comes from a family of muggles who are against any magic or wizardry). left to take care of y/n and her older siblings, her mother taught her everything she could about witches and wizards. even though Y/N and her mother are still pretty close, they don't see each other often because her mother works at the ministry of magic.
