Azurine was only 2 when the accident occurred. The fire that ruined everything. Her older siblings Vitali and Borbala were 4 when it happened. They were at a friends house and came home the next day with no parents and a blind baby sister. They move in with their aunt Brighton and Uncle Ryker, and cousin Carmen to the small city of Oak Grove, Louisiana. 13 years later and Azurine is still blind, depressed, and listens to music way to loud. She has no friends and doesn't think anyone pays attention to her.
Dimitri lost everything a year ago. He will walk on a crutch forever. He cuts and smokes the pain away the best he can. He got put into rehab, and a foster home. His own mom sent him to Oak Grove, Louisiana hoping he would get better. things are much worse. However, he can hide it pretty damn well.
Then one day, the two meet, and their worlds get turned upside down.
