A Court of Smoke and Scars

Raine Balin went through life living with her family in a small house just on the edge of the village. One night she awoke to smoke and flames eating away at the home and so she hurried to escape out into the night. Nothing could prepare her for the horrid sounds that the house made that night, the screams of her family.

After that traumatising experience, Feyre, Raine's only friend in the village, offered to take her in. Granted, they didn't have much at the time either, but at least it was sheltered from the elements that would soon come.

The ACOTAR series belongs to Sarah J. Maas, I am only adding in some of my own characters, and telling their story.
