It's 1967, the middle of the Vietnam War. Gerard Way is a 25 year old soldier. They'd sent him to Vietnam a year ago, and they'd kept him there. Hardly because he was a good fighter, though. Anyone could point a gun. Gerard Way was a performer, too.
