As the eldest daughter of Tonowari and Ronal, leaders of the Metkayina, Fao essentially has her life planned out for her; marry and mate with the man of their choice, and to forever protect her people.
Living up to her parents' standards never came easy for her, and being forced to train the perfect Neteyam, the eldest son of Jake Sully and Neytiri does not help her with her internal battles.
However, in proper Sully fashion, Neteyam is ready to fight for what he wants, which is the hotheaded chief's daughter.
