❝I never knew a boy could be that pretty...❞ I would think to myself often after meeting Vance Hopper for the first time, he wasn't as scary as people said he was, but perhaps that was just how I saw him, my mother says that it's a gift, sometimes I don't think that's true as sometimes it makes my chest burn as I can see people for what they hide under their skin, and sometimes it just too scary for me to bare to look at.

But when I looked at Vance, I could see how scared he truly was, all the fear that he hid under his tough boy face, I could see that scared boy underneath his thick skin.

It made me wonder if he too could see under my perfect boy face that we were both scared shitless...
