Jonnie Collins, a young 1920s waitress and aspiring singer with no sense of morals. But, her overly glamorized city life doesn't last long when her friend Marjorie Wilson is slaughtered one fortnight. Turns out though, what the caper really wanted was every cent Jonnie had to her name. Which is more than the average eye thinks, because of the family she secretly hides. Since the cops don't care and no one knew about the poor seamstress Marjorie, Jonnie's only way to save herself and her family is to find the caper. There isn't anything to worry about if you have a young washed up bartender and an attractive secretary by your side for help.....or should you?
