Humanity is falling apart, and only a few people are keeping it together: the Purebloods. They fight against the violent, erratic mutants with what little sway they have left, struggling to keep humanity from falling to pieces. the mutants, on the other hand, are trying to stop the Purebloods and get them to embrace their mutant side so everyone can live together and cease fighting. After a horrible accident, Stephen finds himself caught in between the two sides, struggling to understand himself and his other half as he battles his morals and friends.
