Donald Sonn first entered medical school in 1987, shortly after completing his undergraduate education at Stony Brook University. Equipped with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook, Sonn took the next crucial step towards a career in medicine, enrolling in the Yeshiva University Albert Einstein College of Medicine and setting off on what would become an accomplished and successful career in the field of urology.
Donald Sonn is grateful for the dedicated instruction and knowledge he received in medical school, and for the opportunity to receive such an important educational foundation at a quality academic institution. A student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1987 to 1991, Sonn pursued his Doctor of Medicine degree with the enthusiasm, zeal and passion of someone truly inspired by and devoted the field of medicine.
The education Donald Sonn received at Yeshiva University helped to set the stage for a successful medical residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Initially a resident at the center’s department of surgery, Sonn worked his way up to the position of Chief Resident of the Department of Urology by July of 1996. In total, Sonn spent six years as a medical resident of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, an experience that has helped to provide him considerable career opportunity ever since.
Donald Sonn is now a Urologist Surgeon with the Urology Group of Western New England, a position he has enjoyed success in since completing his Long Island residency in 1997.
