No one knew what had happened that fateful night when the royal castle disappeared. After long fruitless searching, the king and his guests were presumed dead. Some speculated they were attacked, or perhaps it was divine punishment for their gluttony and greed.
With every conspiracy there was someone in need of blame. Over suspicions and inheritance disputes, wars were inevitable, and the kingdom broke apart.
Then there was the rot.
((A beauty and the beast inspired story. I watched the french movie, La Belle Et La Bete, and really got inspired from the visuals. Such a beautiful movie. I hope you like my version of this story.))

This is a clean romance. All I wanted from tonight was to sneak out of the ball to read in the castle's grand library and suddenly the prince is guiding me to safety even though he's the one they're after. In the morning we find out that the Light of the Realms was stolen and the castle is on lock down. All the guests from the ball must be tested to see who committed the crime and to top it off the Light of the Realms was what kept this kingdom safe and without it armies are moving in. Will we find the Light of the Realms before it is to late? Will the prince be ready to lead this kingdom into war if he has to? This is a sweet middle grade/ young adult romance. It is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Warning: This is a rough draft! So there will be spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
