As Simon skipped around the park and jumped off swing he began to notice that it was a beautiful day but he was the only one at the park. Their might be an occasional squirrel here and there but other than that, Simon was alone.
Simon rode his bike home. He couldn't help but let go of his bike to soar through the sky. He says it feels like he is a free eagle. As Simon walked into his house he couldn't help but stumble across his crying mother sitting in the corner. "Mom?" Simon shouted. "What's wrong?" Simons mom jumped up and yelled in excitement. "Simon you are okay!" After an awkward pause "mom, why wouldn't I be okay? I just went to the park. What is going on" a nother awkward pause. " Simon Otis pouring, their is a tornado watch and listen to the sound of that radio going crazy." Can you not see?" Simon looked through the window and saw the sun shining and the flowers blooming. Assuming his mother might have been having a weird reaction to he cancer medication he walked away.

„The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?", she asked, the sound of her voice strained, as if she hadn't been talking for a long time. The boy sat next to her, staring forward into the leaving sun. He didn't even look at the young woman when she spoke. Yet still he could feel himself, only a small part of himself, longing to hear more of her voice. It used to calm him down, singing soft lullabies whenever nightmares haunted him, or telling stories to him and his brother. It was the only comfort he could rely on. And he ended it before it could poison him. Silence filled the vast empty space.
