Charlie Benavente always wanted to be something greater, something more. He also always wanted to escape his home town of L.A. When he's given the opportunity of a lifetime, he seizes it, and moves in with his Great Uncle in his odd manor up in the northern part of the state There, he discovers a place of magic and wonder that had been living under his nose this whole time! It's a dream come true. But not all is as it seems in this land of make-believe. As Charlie works to uncover the darker side of this magical world, he must learn what it truly means to be a hero...his OWN way.

**AUTHOR'S NOTE - I'm very excited to share this project with you all! This is a passion project of mine, a love letter to the YA fantasy genre, as well as a deconstruction of many of the tropes. It's a twist on the usual YA fantasy formula, and will definitely be poking fun at certain aspects! I hope you will find it a refreshing breath of fresh air, and love it as much as I enjoyed writing it! Currently, upon creation of this story, I have around 90 pages of content, and be rolling out the titles of the first five chapters, alongside the full chapter one, upon release!
