The Lost - Pacific Rim The Black Fanfic

How will two PPDC cadets react when they discover that they have both been asleep for 5 years and that Australia has completely fallen to the kaiju, with them stuck in an abandoned base far from Sydney or salvation?

Due to an incident while training in the new MK.6 jaeger, Centaur Phoenix, the two cadets were rendered unconscious and and were placed in an experimental stasis pod to be monitored while they recovered though how would they be woken up if the kaiju return with force and take Australia? They wouldn't, not until 5 years later when the monitoring machine fails and triggers an emergency wake up procedure.
