The cold slowly penetrated my skin. It stung worse than any pain I could have ever imagined. The loud noise of everyone cheering for me after I stabbed him was sickening. Why couldn't they see? Why was I the only one that could realize it? For I was not the hero in this, no; I was the villain and I just took away an innocent life. A life that I loved.
But as a single tear fell down my cheek, I noticed something. His chest was rising slowly. He was still breathing.
I leaned down. Just for him to hear me. "2 hours, my dear."
Guards pulled me off of him and my father pulled me into a warm and caring embrace. I felt my heart crack in multiple spots. The only thought in my head was if he would survive until the night. It was only two hours away; and then we can be together like we always dreamed of.
