Kirk and Spock have both come close to gruesome deaths while serving aboard the Enterprise, and it seems their timelines are careening towards an end. Both friends question if giving into their deeper feelings for each other now would be worth the risk of heartbreak, should one of them have to actually go on without the other. Risk, longing, passion and humor (plus Christmas!) all make an appearance in this emotional collection of interactions leading to a K/S mindmeld and detailed intimate scenes in the last chapters. This is made harder by the fact that he is terrified of everyone but Spock. The more they watch and listen, the more Spock and McCoy want to find Winona Kirk and make her just as afraid as she has made her son. There is a brief nudity scene in the last chapter. All characters involved in said scene are adults. There are some sexual terms used. However, I do not believe it is enough to change the rating to mature.Complete
