Growing up in one of the most notorious cities in the United States ain't easy. Especially for two kids whose drug addicted parents are never around. Meet 21 year old Kailyn Smith ,and her older brother, 23 year old Keenon Smith. Both of their parents were drug addicts, and would leave for days, weeks, and sometimes months a time, leaving Kailyn and Keenon to fend for themselves. So, they did what everyone else in Compton did to survive. They started selling at the young ages of 15, and 17. Fast forward six years. Kailyn and Keenon now run the streets of Compton. Kailyn's a Queenpin, and Keenon's a Kingpin. But, they both have dreams that go way beyond Compton. Kailyn wants to be a singer, and Keenon wants to rap. Will they eventually be able to follow those dreams? Or will something, or someone get in their way? Find out in my new urban story, Try Me.
