A Mafia's Obsession (UNDER REVISION)
Luliana Grace opened her eyes, a stark white ceiling blurring into focus. A wave of disorientation washed over her, a dizzying tide of confusion and fear. The sterile scent of antiseptic filled her nostrils, bringing back memories of... nothing. Who was she? Where was she? The questions pounded in her mind, a relentless drumbeat of uncertainty. As she tried to piece together the fragments of her existence, a shadow fell across her, obscuring the harsh hospital light. A man stood before her, his face a mask of concern. "Zylene," he said, his voice a soft rumble that sent shivers down her spine. "Don't worry. You're safe now. I'm Mateo... Your husband." A man called her Zylene? And introduced himself as her husband? Her mind reeled. Husband? She had no memory of a husband. No memory of a life. But the man's eyes, a deep, stormy gray, held a strange familiarity. A glimmer of recognition flickered within her, quickly extinguished by the crushing weight of her amnesia. She clung to his words, desperate for an anchor in the swirling chaos of her forgotten life. Mateo, a man of shadows and secrets, watched her with a mix of tenderness and something darker, more dangerous. He was the leader of a vast mafia empire, a man who wielded power like a weapon, a man who thrived in the darkness. But beneath his hardened exterior, a spark of vulnerability flickered, a flicker ignited by the woman whose memory had been stolen from her. He couldn't allow himself to fall for her, to let his heart betray him. It was too dangerous. But a part of him craved her, yearned for her, longed to protect her from the darkness that threatened to consume them both. He had a choice to make.
