This book is fan fiction about a woman named Caroline Templewood. Her parents died when she was in university, but the case was unsolved. Trying to forget her past she starts working her dream job in Tony Stark's laboratory and soon meets the other Avengers. Over time she and Steve Rogers get closer and become great friends maybe more? 

One day the team stumble upon a file about a secret Hydra base on a mission, and life turns upside down in a matter of seconds. 

In the following weeks, she sees the same man, again and again, the same man she saw on her first day. He shows up in her apartment demanding a file and is willing to use force to get it. Lucky Steve is there to save her, but what will happen, when he isn't?
