Levi wakes up in his first heat realizing he's an Omega. He has to come to terms with the fact that the world he lives in is not a nice place for his kind.

Discrimination and violence against Omegas are the norm. Even the government is controlling their fates by having strict rules around mating to keep up birth rates.

Omegas are only allowed to be romantically involved and mate with Alphas and they have to take personality tests to get matched with someone of the opposite second gender that is compatible with them.

But of course, just because some numbers say you will be compatible doesn't reflect true feelings or even being fated to be together by pure bond. No computer could ever calculate that.

Erwin's family are highly active in fighting for Omegas-rights, trying to demolish the practice of matching. So much so that Erwin even went into politics to achieve some change.
