Hailing from a small viking village in Norway called Kjellstäd, a young girl born under the name Jordis, only daughter of prominent warrior Jorgen Ivarson and his late wife Isolde adjusts to life in her new village of Borre, a large cultural hub of Norway. Her family was one of the last followers of the Old Ways, pagans who followed the way of the Allfather, and worshipped openly in Kjellstäd. After moving to Borre, many people identified as Christians, and worship of Odin, Aesir, and the magics of the Seiđr were kept hidden. But Jordis longed for adventure. She made friends with the group of mercenaries that the village paid for protection. After her father took I'll, she was finally able to live her life full of adventure she always dreamed of.
