Hermione dedicated her life into healing during the war and following a strict policy from St. Mungo's; she was assigned as an on call healer for Boundary Five, where Draco Malfoy serves as one of the Aurors, away from Harry and Ron. The policy was meant to keep healers away from their love ones to avoid worry and distress driven reckless actions, keeping things professional.

However, the more she meets Draco Malfoy, the more she developed feelings, knowing she wasn't supposed to and knowing well it was against the rule. It was wrong, but during that time, it was the only thing that felt right and made her feel safe.

Million Galleon Man

2 parts Ongoing Mature

Hermione's life was neatly knitted by her. Pass her NEWTs with only O's. Graduate. Get engaged to Ronald Weasley. Get a ministry internship. Get a job at the ministry. Work as a machine. Get married to Ronald Weasley. Become ministry of magic. But that was before the war. Now, all of her friends had moved on with their lives and she was stuck at the same place she was the day after the war ended. Hermione wasn't the Golden Girl anymore. She hasn't achieved all the things that she planned and now she survived day by day in a job she didn't love, distant from her friends and with a missing piece in her chest that nothing seemed to complete. That was until she bumped into Draco Malfoy. Now she was burning with curiosity about the former death eather, risking all of her self preservation to get to know him better, but apparently he didn't mind keeping her around. Or for himself.
