It was a peaceful night at the Plaza, Team Blue finally came back after their trip to Splatsville and the Stamp Rally winner was just about to be announced. Then there was a gunshot, then ink, then chaos that corrupted all the cities. Now it's a fight for survival and who knows what will happen to the beloved squids of this world.

You were supposed to just be the average inkling, Y/n L/n, known by many as the secretive, small-time singer Seaside, known best for his hidden identity and performances by the street, in garages, bars, wherever one could stop to listen and give money. Those days came, and before you could learn to appreciate them, they were gone, just like you were that fateful day you woke up away from home, just like the day you were banished to the oceans and the dangers of the planet 4546B, and just like the day you finally returned home, five long years later, to a world once familiar... In case it's not obvious, this is the rewrite to A World Once Familiar. I plan on expanding upon the main character (who I call Harbor Maria in place of Y/n L/n), Agent 3, and improve several scenes, as well as give the whole story some much-needed polish and a touch of my more modern writing.

They are frowned upon. Not considered the same. Sadly, most of them consist of young children. The angels and demons of course would fight. And at the heart of angel society, was Ink. He was the most cutest, pure, and innocent bean you could ever find. Then there was Nightmare. Being able to have him right around his fingers. Every year, if either on the Angel or Devil side, if there isn't another ruler to rule alongside the main one, or 'protector', then there is a specific time you have to find someone. Otherwise, you get kicked off as it is unfair to rule alone. The only reason Ink isn't kicked off is because he has someone ruling with him. Dream & Blue. Of course, Nightmare has only been able to stall by trying to find one, seeing them as not the one, and the counter gets reset. You can't do it forever though. Now, Ink terribly naive for a protector. Of course, he was the heart. He had a place in everyone's heart- With Dream & Blue being the next. Blue being a guard, and Dream being his 'right-hand man.' Most of the time being the one helping and guiding Ink. They soon find him to be missing, captured by the demons. Panic would be spread all over the place if they were to find out Ink was missing. With this, and a limited time to work with, considering if you were to officially become a ruler of somewhere, your heart has to actually want to leave if you were to leave. Would Dream and Blue be able to save Ink? Or would Ink become the next Queen? The next queen of the Demons? Join us on this journey to find out.

They couldn't save those who they dearly loved, and had to watch them die? The agents would say that it's nothing new, but within the chaos of this new villain, they would all realise that this fight would be something new. This adventure was going to be different to anything else they have done in their lifetime. This adventure was going to change all of their lives, PERMANENTLY. The squidbeak passed. And now they're fine again. Or are they? When shadowlings, a species that have usually strayed from fights are now threatened, what will happen to inkopolis? Will they take over? Will a new threat emerge? What is the strange secret behind the captain of the Royal guard? And most importantly, What Will the Squidbeak do? This takes place after MistRoad, or as I called it before I found out it was called that: FlipRoad. (For those who do not know, the series goes like this SkyRoad (out): Skylings/Squids with wings attack inkopolis, its revenge time. They've tried to steal our stuff and have destroyed our home. LightRoad (out): Luminous 7 are sea creatures with magic lighty powers the squidbeak might fight one on one to save nexus laser city. Trait magic introduced. MistRoad (not out): Squidbeak go to hero central for tournament, must beat "The Exceptionals", led by Athena (wisdom trait). Also Flip joins because she's Passion and that's needed or something bc 8. The following roads wound up being PortalRoad (not out): The Luminous are back and now Cerise (Luminous of hatred) has thrown them all into different universes with the luminous to fight. Rider finds his mom Spitfire and Emperors confidence makes him a new friend. Must get out before they are all deleted tho And ShadowRoad (not out): Nemesis, a green spirit, creates the reverse squidbeak (kaebdiuqs) to gain power from their negativity, meanwhile Hex, Athena and Calliope team up against the squidbeak.
