It comes as a terrible shock when twelve year old Stephanie 'Stef' Carter's parents tell her that they are actually spies in disguise. Mom and Dad wish to recruit Stef and her cousin Maddie to be spies for the I.S.A. (Intelligence Service Agency)

However, Stef and Maddie are not to let their younger brothers Ryan and Quentin find out about them being spies, because it will mean a lot of trouble, and they will get into trouble with the chief spy and manager, Chief Robinson.

Stef and Maddie soon receive their first mission: to become part of a famous band's management team and find the band's passports, and arrest the band's manager, who has stolen the passports.
