Izuku Midoriya was always bullied as a kid for being quirkless. He was degraded, beaten, and neglected everyday. His hero hated him. His friends hated him. Even his mother hated him.
"Don't even try becoming a hero," they'd say.
So why were they so surprised when he listened to them?
His only family was the League. And that was all he needed to become the most feared villain in Japan.

He chose his words carefully and gave the sleep-deprived hero the brightest fake smile he could offer. "I am really fine! You can now go and continue your hero work." "You don't look fine!" ....
