After Glamrock Freddy malfunctioned during a performance, Team Aurora and the Guardians of Harmony ordered a mandatory shutdown of the entire Megaplex so they could focus on repairs to both the building's attractions and animatronics. However, they had also planned to do something else once the building is closed, something that the staff weren't made aware of. Opting to stay the night in the Megaplex, they hoped to catch the thief(s) who had been stealing tools, materials, and electricity from the building for months. But their hopes for an easy apprehending quickly went up in smoke as the robots of the Megaplex started to act strange, even hostile towards a young boy who had the misfortune of being trapped in the building after hours.
