Deep within the dark woods, a group of hunters finds a baby nestled in a cradle of snow, alone, with no signs of life anywhere near her. Miraculously, the child is still alive.
The child's story is spread throughout the kingdom of Xonfer, and soon it reaches the Lord Airidh. The child is taken under the wing of the king, and raised as his own daughter.
But Deigh is not his daughter. She's the daughter of his enemy, the tribe of Tibulon, who are known for their unnatural abilities.
When Deigh's powers start to show themselves, the king goes to all lengths to hide it. For years, Deigh knows not of her abilities. One day, under a chain of events, her powers reveal themselves, and the entire world hears of it.
Word of the strange girl with powers of frost reach Tibulon, and Chief Firinn decides it is time to take back what is his.

Snow. Her breaths were shallow as she listened. She'd been locked in this tower for nearly twelve full moons- enough! She couldn't take it any longer.
