He hoped that by doing this Naruto learn that their are important things in life besides compling missions. Of course this mission there's condition from both sides. What if Naruto wasn't on team 7? What if Naruto still had family alive? What if he had a harem? What if certain people were alive/didn't die? What if Naruto was trained by itachi?
