A fanfic of GATE between an alternate nation and the universe of GATE, Japan included.
It had been almost two months after the end of WW3 and the nation of New Canteria was cleaning up the mess that the atomic bombing of the capital city of Arnket caused as storms of nuclear acid appeared in Kamchatka. During this time however a pair of two decontaminators discovered a Greek temple like structure on a street that lead to another world, and they eventually had the military of New Canteria, the Canterian International Defense Agency, to explore the world beyond the structure.
How will the world react to this sudden change in events, the world beyond the Greek structure, another world like theirs without the presence of New Canteria, and the discovery that one of their own is from the same world they are exploring? Time will only tell.

Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations. All while the fates of Goddess squad and the now legendary Captain Nicholas Miller had remained a mystery.Complete
