His father is a scientist and inventor, and even though not all the villagers like Virgil he doesn't care. He thought his only problem would be dealing with Lukas Gaston, the only other gay man in his village his age, but his life is turned upside down when he volunteers to take his fathers place as a prisoner in a castle that belongs to a beast. NOTE: This story jumps between three different characters in a disorienting way, which I did intentionally (for a reason that I can't say without revealing spoilers). However, in hindsight, I realize that this might also be off-putting to some readers. If you are not dissuaded, you will begin to see a pattern to the transitions (and the reason for them), and I promise you that, by the end, everything will come together and make sense. Jordan came up with an idea one day, that we should try to write a story together so I decided that we could use an idea that I had in mind for a long time. I tried to do it on my own but it didn't work out. The rules were simple, one of us writes a chapter and the other must follow along with another. *Completed* The crowned prince of the Andreas kingdom, Prince Roman was blessed, or as he sees it cursed, to appear to people as their ideal version of beauty. The stress of it all had caused him and his twin brother, Remus, to run away. They had everything planned out, for the most part, but when the ship they ran away on is overtaken by pirates, they impulsively joined the crew. The captain of the ship, known as the Masked Pirate for he wore a black mask that covered his whole face, seemed like a stoic man to the public, but the twins quickly see his love for his crew. The twins believe that they had found the perfect family, and the best life. Until a deadly curse is placed upon the captain, and the crew has to rush to find an island that holds a fountain that can wash away curses before it's too late. The problem is that the island moves, and they're being chased down by someone who wants the captain dead. Pairings will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus, if it's not your jam that's fine you don't need to read. I will display trigger warnings at the beginning of ever chapter, which will include blood and death. There will also be slight cursing, no slurs.
