I've Got Your Back - A Counselor and Detective Story

A coda set in the middle of episode 1 of series 21. Frank comes home from a long day of work to face the music after he told Nolan to Go to Hell in the courthouse.

Yes, we're only one episode in and there was only a brief exchange between these characters, but something about the familiarity Nolan used when asking about Frank, and their exchange just hit me hard with ideas.

It's been over a decade since I last picked up my fanfiction pen, but these two just call to me. I am reminded heavily of Frank Furillo and Joyce Davenport from Hill Street Blues. While I doubt Dick Wolf and company would ever be that progressive, I can't help picking up the Barbies to play with them a bit.
