Three years after the events in Area Zero orchestrated by the AI copy of Professor Turo, Paldea has begun to change. The region has shifted towards the future, gearing up for the timeline that they now view as inevitable.

The tradition of the Treasure Hunter continues on at the Uva Academy. A young girl, Violet, has survived exams and at long last her first treasure hunt is set to begin.

Previously, she had been ordered to come home during the Treasure Hunts. But now, the girl was free to explore all of Paldea and take on the Pokémon League. With a Pokémon at her side, the girl sets off on an adventure into the Paldea region.  She'll make new friends, meet new rivals, and learn the new secrets of Paldea that lie in the shadows.
