Estelle King, or more commonly known as Ella, is resented by the town she lives in because of her unnatural appearance and withstand to freezing temperatures. But as much as they wanted her gone, they didn't mean for her to go to Dragon Academy.

After a dragon flight takes her to her new home, Ella starts to have endless possibilities arrive. New friends, foes, loves, and dragons. But Dragon Academy isn't all that it seems. Murder starts upon her arrival, and her newfound powers don't help her being a suspect.

Can she find out what's the cause of these taken lives, and who wants Dragon Academy destroyed? Or will she fall like the ones before her?
