Disclaimer: I don't own Voltron Legendary Defender, the original characters, or the world that VLD is based in. I'm just a teenager trying to cope by rewriting the show that stole my sanity.
You don't need to have watched Voltron to read this. (In fact don't cause 50% chance it'll make you spiral)
(I apologize for the horrendous description.)
Description: The disappearance of the three members of the Kerberos Mission shocked the country and left a whole in many. But many thought that that was where the story would end. No one expected the pilot's return a year later. Especially not the three cadets breaking curfew the night of his arrival. The three cadets, along with another teen who had close ties to the returning pilot, broke him out and were met with life changing news.
Aliens were real. And they were coming for Earth.
The odd selection of five needed to find a weapon, one that the aliens were searching for, before they found it. But these five were about to realize that this task was not going to end the way they thought it would and that their lives were about to change drastically forever.

"From all the things I pictured in my future life, nothing could have prepared me for this." --- When Lance forced you and the others to a night out, you had no choice but to join them. Through a series of completely unexpected events, though, the "night out" ended up being a rescue mission for Shiro, the pilot of the Kerberos mission. You all ended up somehow becoming the Paladins of Voltron, so you knew the fate of the universe was in your hands. It was time for you and the team, especially you and Keith, to step up and overcome your conflicts and start to become proper teammates, or perhaps more. or A story in which Keith Kogane and (Y/N), old classmates, meet again on a fateful night on a rescue mission for Shiro. Except that Keith now hates (Y/N)'s guts. What happened and how will that affect the Team of Voltron? Hell, if only (Y/N) knew. --- Not marked mature for smut! --- Credits for the lovely book cover and the banner in the chapters go to @-EL3CTRO on wattpad! --- Weekly updates, Fem!reader, mature content warning bc of violence --- Will be following the plot of "Voltron: Legendary defenders" only loosely. I'm not planning on retelling the whole series with an additional character, so I'll kind of invent a new plot but keep all the most important aspects. English is not my first language so bare with me if you find any mistakes, I'll make sure to proofread though, so they will be kept to a minimum. Neither the Characters, except for (Y/N), or "Voltron: Legendary defenders" belong to me.

"S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron. Toumia
After barely fighting off a fleet of Galra ships, Voltron lands on the planet Toumia that is surrounded by three suns, humbly expecting thanks, gratitude, and food. Not necessarily in that order. However, as soon as they land on the ground, the leader of the Ibhe Htua, Pedagogue Tuaste, tells them that they did a good job, but there's a lot to learn before they even have a hope of defeating Zarkon and his evil empire. Grudgingly, they accept her offer to train them. However, a new threat to the universe arises soon after they land on Toumia, one that is completely unrelated to Zarkon and the Galra Empire. One of the many societies on the planet with purple grass has developed a way to help the universe, but the Voltron Team knows that this will do anything but help the universe, and that they must stop it at all costs. Together, the five Paladins make up Voltron, Defender of the Universe. And what do defenders of the universe do? They defend it. * * * The timeline for this fanfiction within seasons 1-2 of VLD are unknown, for reasons that will be clear by the end of this particular fanfiction. As such, the characters will know how to do certain things, and not know other things. Because of this, there will be spoilers for some things but not others, and seeing as this happens somewhere within the spacetime between the episodes of seasons 1 and 2. It's weird. Hang with me, it'll all make sense by chapter sixteen. Maybe fifteen. I haven't written that far out yet. And just as a forewarning: in this, I will be doing several play-on-word jokes that may seem offensive. THEY ARE NOT. Earth is saved from the Galra, and the Paladins of Voltron are the heroes of the Galaxy Garrison, well all except for Keith. He'd been kicked out before the war, and they didn't want him back. He's alone again. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. I have not watched all the seasons and have changed the backstory of some characters. I do not own any of the characters in this story, and I do not own any of the artwork.
