After spending her whole life trying unsuccessfully to fulfil society's expectations, Luz Noceda started living with her mom's best friend Eda in Bonesborough. Finally she managed to make friends, be academically decent and most important, be herself without the fear of judgment.

Until she started to notice one of the girls that hangs out with the bullies, a mysterious girl that made her stomach suddenly backflip with curiosity. Despite the warnings of her best friend, Luz settled her mind to approach this person that looks so untouchable. 

High School is about to end and soon everyone will depart to their own paths, enroll in college, get a job, everything that life has to offer to a young adult. Will Luz be able to get to know this person better before it's too late or is this person very well aware of Luz's presence already?

Luz has went to camp and when she came back she didn't act any different, she still didn't get one friend so her mother (Camila) changed. She got aggressive/abusive with Luz and school doesn't help, the second day of school comes and before Luz leaves she runs away and finds a house. Luz runs into it and turns out it took her to the boiling isles. But Luz has changed, she was mean, quiet, hostile and had mad trust and anger issues she also developed Hemophobia (fear of blood) and Traumatophobia (fear of having an injury). When joining Hexside the girls there were mean and harsh like the kids at her human school, but Luz learned how to stick her ground there at her human school. Luz would stand her ground and be mean to literally everyone that got in her way. Amity's breath hitches in her throat, and she doesn't speak. "Can I kiss you?" Luz asks, her breath tickling Amity's lips. Without any hesitation Amity nods her head yes, her eyes still wide. She couldn't believe it. Was this actually happening or was she dreaming? Luz looks at Amity again, obviously nervous. She doesn't seem to move, so Amity does instead. She cups Luz's face with her hands and gently brings her closer, pressing her lips against Luz's. The hybrid lets out a muffled squeak of surprise, but doesn't pull away or try to stop Amity. After a moment Amity releases Luz and covers her mouth with her hand, her cheeks tinted pink. Luz says nothing, and her ears lower, the tips of them red. "Wow." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luz Clawthorne-Noceda had always lived in the demon realm along with Camila and Eda, her moms. She inquired as I slipped my hand into her offered one. "And what is it that they say?" I raised a brow and a glint of emotion flashed in her eyes. "Keep your friends close," she said before gripping my hand in hers, "and your enemies closer."
