This story is about the very large kingdom of Varian, and how a peasant girl saves the kingdom from a twisted King and rises to power, with the help of her best friend and "some" supporters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(It mildly Hetalia because the two main girls, Isabella Kirkland and Arabella Carriedo, are actually me and my friend's OCs, The Republic of Ireland and Argentina. This fanfic was created by me and my friend Jade after playing Kingdom Life on Roblox. She wrote, I edited)
(School AU) (Y/n) (L/n) is a very smart young lady. She always gets good marks on her quizzes and tests. She's nice to everyone and tries to stay positive around her peers/friends/family. However, behind closed doors she tends to break down. She has an older sister with mental health issues and an older brother whom she used to confide in but he moved away and barely visited and talked to his family. This only made the girl's life worse. Her childhood friend and neighbor, Gilbert stopped talking to her as much when he started middle school, but she still hung out with Ludwig. Her mother was always stressed between being a single mom and dealing with her sister. So the girl used her studies and books as an escape method from the real world. Of course she had some friends, but not many really GOOD friends. NOTE: The reader has Situational Depression DISCLAIMER: I do not own Hetalia, the characters, art, or the au. I only own the plot and whatnot. And another issue is that there are a LOT of countries so I can't really do all of them, so the only characters falling for you will be: Francis Bonnefoy (France) Alfred F. Jones (America) Matthew Williams (Canada) Arthur Kirkland (England) Ludwig Beilschmidt (Germany) Gilbert Belischmidt (Prussia) Feliciano Vargas (Italy) Lovino Vargas (Romano) Antonio Fernandez Carriedo (Spain) Ivan Braginski (Russia) I suck at writing a fanfic with more than 10 characters involved unless I REALLY know ALL of the characters. Also I'm sorry I took out Japan and China. Before I started editing they got like zero attention and I felt bad Q_Q I hope you enjoy the story nonetheless and I thank you for taking your time reading this stupidly long description EDIT: If you want to see more interactions with a certain character (doesn't have to be ones you fall for) just let me know!
Book 1 in a series! Despite what Emrys has been told, her Kingdom Abneer was not the only one to survive, King Reyes is not the only monarch, and monsters are real. Previously a soldier for the King, now betrothed to his son, Prince Roan, Emrys Ortega is starting to feel the burden of the title she never wanted. After repeatedly sneaking out of the palace leads to a sinister threat from the King, Emrys begins to worry for her family's safety. So when she learns that one of her kingdom's soldiers has been kidnapped by the Queen of another Kingdom, Valoria, she sees this as her opportunity to redeem herself in the King's eyes and protect her family. The only problem is that she had no idea the Kingdom of Valoria even existed. In fact, the Kingdom is unlike her own. It's filled with the same monsters from the stories she had been told-monsters of the night. In order to rescue the soldier, Emrys must team up with the notorious monster, the Shadow Knight, and his team of mercenaries. Through their missions and encounters with the monsters, Emrys not only learns the true extent of the lies she had been fed, but that the King has something planned, far bigger than she ever imagined, and finally realizes that her true enemies may not be the monsters after all. 21 parts Complete Mature
As a child, Freya Carson would spend her summers at her grandmother's forest cabin, picking berries, going to the lake, playing outside and ending the nights listening to her grandmothers story of another world, where princesses and knights lived. Her grandmother always told her that one day she could visit that world. All she had to do was go to the mirror in the attic, close her eyes and walk through. As she got older she stopped believing that the mirror in the attic was magical, and gave up on her dreams of fantasy worlds to focus on high school. Freya Carson is going to be a senior at North Valkyrie High School. And her life is about to change forever. With news of her grandmothers sudden death, she heads to the cabin with her parents and sister to clean it out and get it ready to sell before the school year starts. While cleaning, her and her sister Nora are stuck with the attic, and stumble upon the mirror. When the mirror suddenly starts glowing and sucks them both in, they find themselves in a whole other world, just like the stories they heard as children. They find it's nothing like how they remember it, as the two kingdoms of Fiore and Arcadia are at war, and they're caught right in the middle. Together they are saved by a mysterious female knight, and they head out to stop the war that could threaten and destroy the human and fantasy worlds forever.
