16-year-old Isabelle just moved from Florida, where she was born and raised. She was forced to move with her mother across the states to a lakehouse in Oregon right before summer. Her mother decided they needed a change, away from the life they'd always lived. Isabelle despises her mother for making her leave her friends, her home, and now her long-distance boyfriend. While Isabelle settles into her new life she encounters new people and experiences. Among the new people, is 17-year-old Jackson. Because of him, she begins to struggle with her romantic relationships. Not only does Isabelle have romantic relationship problems, but also friendship. As she and her upcoming new group of friends hang out at her lakehouse, unexplainable incidents begin to occur. As more tragedy strikes, deeper connections are made. And the longer the summer, the more questions rise, especially ones regarding survival.
