Inventing Divinity revolves around a STEM focused student, Hideaki Watanabe, being reincarnated into a mysterious, magic-filled, fantasy world after a tragic mishap resulting in his passing. His adventure throughout this world will not be without struggle, after all nothing in life is made easy. The magic in this world is not free, and just like Physics and Chemistry in the real world, this world too has it's own laws. Hideaki must endure and push past all struggles he faces and use his knowledge and creativity to find out what makes the cogs of this world turn.
Fueled by his unrelenting curiosity and the hope of uncovering the secrets of his new reality, Hideaki sets out to master both magic and the natural laws that govern this world. However, his journey won't go unnoticed-powerful factions, ancient gods, and enigmatic forces are determined to keep their secrets buried, seeing Hideaki's foreign power as a threat to their ruling and the fragile balance of their world. Along the way, Hideaki teams up with a ragtag group of adventurers who possess their own unique skills and perspectives on the world, forcing him to learn the value of camaraderie and trust even through turmoil. As Hideaki fuses his scientific ingenuity with the arcane, he begins to blur the line between morality and immorality, causing those around him to question whether or not he is as good of a guy as they thought... and as Hideaki continues his adventure he discovers that this world may not have been as perfect as he originally may have thought.
