The third part of a four-part series, the Gator relaxes the action and takes things slowly, and eases the tension brought by the previous two stories. Taking place a year after the last story (the Hare), Dennis and Christine live a mostly quiet life in the nearby town of Red John. Living under their new names, Teddy West and Megan Heart, their lives have, for the most part, returned to normal, or so it seems as they have to deal with the trauma of their past. The Gator takes inspiration from Hush, The Strangers, and Halloween 2018. The Gator is meant to be a slow burn, where it takes a while until the horror kicks in, but don't let that distract you from "The Real Picture". For nothing is normal in our world that we live in. Stare deep into the abyss, the abyss will stare back.

It was a dark cold night-the night where the birds lay dead on the cold ground, listening in to the deceased whispers. This is the night where blood was once spilled. Jeremy hid behind a tree, holding on his thigh-his thigh was bleeding as he got stabbed. Jeremy looked at his wound, cursing under his breath. Jeremy looked around to see if anyone was nearby, there wasn't anyone nearby but he could hear the screaming of his pals. He could do nothing but to weep, he got out of his hiding spot and went deeper into the woods. He was wincing in pain as he dragged his injured leg. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper. I know, another stupid story idea, but I think this one is an alright one. _______________________________________________ Being a fan of the Neptunia series after watching Lost Pause play the first two games I've read a lot of Hyperdimension Neptunia stories, because it's fun seeing how people can take characters like Neptune and put them in really entertaining scenarios that the games haven't yet. One thing I noticed about the more serious stories is that when it involves someone from Earth suddenly in Gamindustri, they move on from the fact they can't see their friends and family again. Some do but they usually move on quickly. Mainly because they don't have anything tying them to their old home. What if someone was in that same position, only he is completely shattered by the idea that he won't see his friends and family again? What if he couldn't just quickly move on from that and is too scared to get close to anyone now? Think about it, if you were currently ripped from this world and shoved into the next without your consent or knowledge you'd be destroyed by the fact that you're never going back home. _______________________________________________ Neptune, the protagonist of protagonists, finds a young, unconscious guy in a forest when she actually decided to work for once. She takes him to her home, telling her CPU friends about it they fly over to her to see if she was joking or not and finds it's legit. In a post apocalyptic world, two young women had been living in a small corner of the world for several years before they are forced to flee what they had called home for a while. In doing so, they were low on supplies and had no choice but to seek out the next place to call home. And it is at the worst time to, with winter approaching quickly. They find themselves within a ruined Salt Lake city of Utah, where they quickly find items that they would deem as useful for themselves. However, this city wasn't empty. A large group who have taken control of the city and are merciless towards outsiders, even to those wanting to join the group. The two women are lucky, at first, to avoid being detected by this group. But that does not last for long. However, it would seem this group was not the only threat. Smaller groups who roam the city seem to hold up against this large group just fine, but rumours and sightings of strange beings roaming the city are echoed and repeated by various people. And it all seems to lead back to an abandoned pizzeria that has been shut down for years. But the two women would soon find themselves confronting one of these things. But it would not be a normal encounter. After all, this individual has had a lust for blood and all he loves to do is hunt and kill. However, it is at this encounter that he seems to find intrigue with one of the women. Mostly for how she handled the encounter like no one else has. And he would soon realize another side of his coin has arrived, and she had no idea. And thus, while women attempt to leave, they find that they have unintentionally become intertwined with something that has now secured their fate to the ruined city. And for one, undead animatronic, this has become favorable to him. And for another, golden animatronic, the perfect storm to keep unfolding his plan of torment for one William Afton.
