Tired of pretending (kiribaku)
Katsuki Bakugo is tired, tired of feelings so fucking pathetic. He's a shitty person, with an even shittier life. It's what he deserves, isn't it? Funny how fate has a way of balancing the scale. He'll never be a pro-hero, not when he's barely surviving each day he has to put up with his mother. But he's not asking for pity, Katsuki Bakugo can take care of himself. And no one needs to know anything, they need to keep their damn mouths shut, or else they'll see the wall he's built up is slowly tumbling down. This is Kiribaku btw is the title didn't give it away. !!!Disclaimer: this is a four year old work and written in first person. It's not my best to say the least but I'm leaving it because it was an important part of my writing journey (although I'm not putting "angsty Bakugo fanfic" on any portfolio ʅ（◞‿◟）ʃ) I rewrote the summary because I hated it but mostly everything else is remaining unchanged because I'm too lazy to edit a 70k story. -------FANFICTION------- Bakugo Katsuki strives for success as a future professional hero ever since he could remember. However, the lifestyle of a hero isn't as easy as it seems with mental pressure, villains and competition. Not only is that difficult to handle, Bakugo has to balance his deteriorating mental health at the same time, hoping to avoid suspicion that could put his chances of being a hero at stake. As time moves forward, the eyes watching him grows and the line between strength and neglect blurs. It's only reasonable to question. When will he shatter, if he hasn't already? His teacher refuses to let him break any further. "When the heart gets too heavy with pain, people don't cry. They become silent. Completely silent." Katsuki Bakugou was taught to bottle every little feeling that would label him as weak. In a small town in 1990's Japan, this boy had created the worst version of himself, causing him to be haunted by his past actions everyday by the belief of what he thought was just one insignificant boy- Izuku Midoriya. After returning to the school his former bully once ran, Izuku returns with one goal; to feel anything but misery. The two boys found one way to communicate without awkwardness- writing letters. Slowly, they begin to speak and rebuild the fragile remains of their once-broken bond-two boys healing from a world of hurt, one scarred by home, the other by his own mind.
Thoughts
Bakugo is always rude to everyone. Loud, rough, mean, and hateful. But that's just a mask he puts on every time he leaves his room. The thoughts are always there, the voices and words. They won't shut up. They won't stop telling the truth. Everyone is out to get the aspiring hero, and his mind won't let him trust anyone.
