This is a rewrite of the original story that I started back in either 2017 or 2016, I'm not quite sure, but this is how our story goes:

Madara held the now dead body of his soulmate in his arms, tears falling down his face. Naruto had died because of his stupidity, never again, he will make the perfect world, a world where he could still be with his Naru. Yes Madara Uchiha's soul mate is... was Naruto Namikaze. 

Will Madara's dream come to fruition? Or will ghosts decide to intervene?

It was said that if you and your soulmate didn't have a happy ending in your past life then you would dream about it in your next life. The dreams were random, never in sequential order. Some dreams would show times when you were happy, while others would show you where things went wrong. Those dreams were allegedly to allow you to avoid making the same mistakes by learning from your past life. Sasuke thought they were a warning to stay as far away as possible. Naruto has always wanted to meet his soulmate and make things right. He never expected that his soulmate wouldn't want anything to do with him. Naruto dies in his final battle with Sasuke and suddenly wakes up in the past in a different body that looks similar to his own. There he has to understand the darkness that dwells within Madara and prevent him from completely losing himself and leaving the village much like his closest friend did once upon a time. Surprisingly, they get along better than anticipated, but will it last? Original posting is on AO3 under the same name under my user there (MaysayV1) and receives more frequent updates!

"Don't make this any harder than it has to be, Sakura." I swallowed hard, my body shaking. I can't believe this is actually happening. Who knew that it will actually end up like this? I knew that I have to save Naruto and Sasuke-kun so that we could run away and hide before it's too late. "I-I'm not opening the door." I took a step backwards, looking at the kitchen. There was a knife on the counter, I needed it. If he is going to break inside, I have to fight back in order to get out of here. I quickly get it and face the door once again. I take a deep breath and tighten the grip on the knife's handle. There was one big question that kept running inside my mind over and over again. When will this nightmare end? Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto suddenly found themselves stuck in their own "ideal world"; a world with no chakra, ninjas, wars and just peace, tranquility and happiness. Their loved ones who were once dead are alive and the place they called home is back to normal again. Everything seems perfect, right? Wrong. They soon find out the person who has trapped them in that world is out to kill them. What's worse is that he won't stop at nothing until they're dead and they don't even have chakra to fight back. Will they be able to escape and be safe? Or will they remain trapped forever? Kakashi had a crush on obito for the longest time but he couldn't be with him because obito was dead and kakashi didn't get the chance to tell obito his feelings towards him. Kakashi was the sixth hokage now and was 33 and still single he knew his dad didn't care if he got married or not. But he still had feelings for obito even though obito was dead and a lot of women were always flirting with him. And he knew he was gay and he knew he had no chance of finding someone that was like obito.
