Elliot has the record for the most excused absences in school. He wishes it was for a better reason but he really just gets sick a lot. They say he has a weak immune system. He guesses it's better than being alone at school.
Charlie is basically a 17 year old parent to his younger siblings. It may take up most of his time but he does know 2 things, he loves being on the swim team and he's very curious about the boy who's in all his classes but has never shown up to class.
What happens when the two boys unexpectedly become friends will their relationship stay that way or move further. Who knows but what they do know is that maybe someone new is a good thing.
