Muichiro was aware of what he was capable of amongst his five other senses. He could still survive in a world where sight was the main factor of survival. Losing his sense of sight didn't kill him entirely. As long as he was alive, he would find his true purpose in himself and possibly a companion along the way.
Even if he couldn't see, the least he could ask for was to be seen.

The Tokito family begins to struggle financially and can no longer provide for their blind son, Muichiro Tokito. Because of this recent change in status, they make the choice to rent a small townhouse with another family. The Shinazugawa's aren't very welcoming at the start, but the two families would soon grow to accept each other with time. Moreover, the youngest Shinazugawa, Genya, and Muichiro would sprout an even closer connection to each other than the others in the household.
