Hatred

Eleanor is an abandoned child. She doesn't remember much about it, but one thing she knows is that her real parents disowned her. Even with her vague memories, she can never forget what they did to her, nor can she forgive them. In summary, she hates them.

Eleanor is confused when her adoptive parents decide to move to Florida. It's not about the moving she's confused about; it's their behaviour. They are scared. What it was that scared them, she didn't know.
