Darkness.
That's all I could see.
I couldn't wake up. No matter how loud I screamed, sobbed, and wailed.
All I could do...
Was just sit and wait for it all to end.
'The light will shine through again...' I thought to myself as I kept struggling to wake myself up from this hellish dream.
'It'll all be okay...'
But although this has happened many times before...
I'm not sure if I will ever see the light again.

I tried, I tried everything. I can't-" - "Persephone it's hurting you, stop using them." "No, they make me stronger." She turned her back to him, the burn in her eyes intensifying as she clawed more of that new feeling, the new power, into her. It seemed to run like lightning through her veins, and Percy watched as the scratches deepened.
