In a world that is more land than water, a force comes from the ocean near the kingdom of Apricity. When there are fish people found on the coast of the continent, fishermen start killing them in masses and selling their scales to make medicine and potions.
When Girven Beetey hears about the force in the oceans, living in the ocean town, he becomes intrigued. There he meets a fish woman named Lucchae Ariadna, whose entire family has been killed, and she plans to kill fishermen with her friends. The only problem is who came up with this solution of people eating their fish and killing their fishermen: the King of Apricity.
