Pale, beautiful, skinny, brunette, intelligent, confident, sweet, popular, brave, and bubbly is the way everyone at school describes her to others. At home she's another person, she's clumsy, cowardly, and easy to break. In her neighborhood, Skylar is known as the youngest, deadly, undefeated and heartless one. She's killed hundreds of people since she was seven, she gets nightmares every night about killing. But in her room, all she really is, is a quiet, extremely poor, broken girl. Aren't one sided crushes fun? NOT! 18 year old Melody Jenkins has spent the last 3 years of high school crushing on one guy, Jake Kensington, who sees her as no more than a sister from another mister and best friend. Not wanting to risk their friendship, Melody has kept her crush a secret and her emotions in check whenever she's around him... which is daily since they live on the same property. It's her senior year and she has made it through the past three years of high school with little social psychological trauma. That's excellent considering she goes to a school in Los Angeles where the majority of the bored students graduating will have executive paying jobs the moment they walk across stage. If all goes well, she will graduate as the valedictorian with multiple offers from colleges on the East Coast, far away from California. But when the health teacher announces a "special" project that requires students to be paired and live under the same roof for one week, Melody's world gets completely turned upside down. She is forced to spend time with someone totally opposite of her and frankly, she can't stand... or so she thought. One night of catching a glimpse of the softer side of Kyle Warner, the school's most popular and arrogant quarterback, has her heart pounding and her stomach doing flip-flops. But when Melody shows an ounce of affection toward Kyle, Jake discovers feelings of his own as he tries to protect his best friend from the guy he knows Kyle can be. As the project comes to an end, Melody goes to homecoming... will it be a night to remember, forget or both? Be advised, this contemporary Teen / Young Adult Romance story has some strong language and strong sexual connotation.

"Fuck you, Springs" - he spats "In your dreams, Henderson" "How'd you know?" - he replies, with a smirk on his face. Jade Springs only had one goal in her life and that was to make it till 20. See,Jade wasn't really a very happy person. She was quite the opposite. Well if you can call an quiet, socially awkward, no friends and shit grades person happy. And not to mention the fact that her only happiness is reading books and making playlists about them. James Henderson is the opposite of Jade. He is a very out going person, who would do anything to see his friends happy even if that means that him, himself wouldn't be. Some people think that that's a weakness but James sees it as a very good quality. Of course his biggest rival Jade doesn't think so. Anytime they have an assignment together she would always call him out on that, while James would call her out on her no socialism and her shitty eye bags. What he would not tell her is that he kinda finds them attractive. Very attractive. Jade and James are fine with never talking to each other but there is one tiny problem. They both have the same two mutual friends. Avery and Xander. That and the fact that their families are really close. Like really close. When they were kids James's family would come over all the time. But that's not what we're here to talk about. We're here to talk about Avery and Xander, well for now. Avery and Xander are absolutely crushing crazy with each other. Of course everyone else sees it but them. Their misscommunication is driving both Jade and James crazy. One day when they're seated together for an assignment they both can't take it anymore and come up with a plan to get their idiots together. Well more likely a deal. Which one will be able to get Avery or Xander to confess first wins. But what they don't realise is that they are actually setting themselves up. *perfect for "better than the movies" lovers! *

Brooklyn goes to middle school. She thinks having a crush on some guy seems easy but stupid. She has had a crush on Jack Palmer for a few years now. Though, she doesn't really know love. Each day seems to be it's usual, until he offers to take her to a party. The classic mean girls still exist. At Brooklyn's school that title belongs to Sasha Evans. She has been the girl that shows up followed by trouble at it's least expected. After awhile they don't know what else to expect. Trying to live the most of your middle school year is a pain when you are someone else's piece in their fun. Brooklyn meets old friends and new people which can bring struggles. She would have never thought being a middle scholar could be so hard. She now knows she has thought wrong. Update: I write this a while ago and I wish I would've put more thought into it. *sigh*
